In the Moorish kingdom of medieval Spain the rabbis were able to share this knowledge, as there was freedom given by the Muslims and then the CABALA flourished and came out of the shadows, but soon the Christian government came from the shadows of Ferdinand and Isabel and the Kabbalists were persecuted and killed. Those who escaped took refuge in deserted corners in the four corners of the earth. Most of them came to the new world that was discovered under the influence of the Jewish Kabbalists.
